Vim is currently seeking a strong PHP developer that finds joy and takes pride in building complex and robust web-based applications and implementing content management systems. Historically, we’ve been an ExpressionEngine shop but now are working on many more .gov websites. The ideal candidate would be a PHP rock star with deep experience with Drupal. Additionally, the candidate will work as well individually as they do in a small, collaborative team. They should enjoy variety in their work while meeting deadlines without breaking a sweat.

At the minimum, you’ll posses deep experiences with:

• Developing web-based applications and websites in PHP while keeping best practices and security in mind;
• Building a complete Drupal site from design assets and functional documentation and maintaining and updating existing Drupal 6 and 7 websites;
• Writing code from scratch without frameworks but understanding why frameworks can save time;
• Understanding Drupal 3rd-party modules and assets to facilitate more efficient development;
• Interacting with Apache and other services via the command line;
• Apache and how PHP and Apache interact; and,
• Understanding of caching and performance optimization for high traffic applications.

Position Summary

The Advertiser Support Engineer will be responsible for providing advanced technical support to internal and external clients on all Millennial Media advertising products.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist clients and team members in finding creative technology solutions
• Provide critical technical expertise to operations teams, and identify, track and diagnose technology problems
• Provide leadership for other technical services team members by assisting with tough assignments, and becoming experts in one or more of Millennial’s platforms
• Demonstrate and develop advanced application knowledge for multiple Millennial Media products, and become an expert user in one or more applications
• Own complex, multi-system production issues by issuing initial response, data gathering, tracking and resolution where possible and determine escalation protocol based on the nature of the issue
• Handle system administrative duties for production and non-production systems, including: account setup, configure access of different elements in each system, computer set-up an application installation.
• Provide data and support to tier 2 and tier 3 team members to address defects. Assist other team members as an escalation point for one or more applications
• Must be on call 24/7 on a rotating basis

Required Skills

•  Plan, design, configure and maintain databases on Linux servers for both production and development environments
• Perform data modeling and schema design

• Investigate and troubleshoot performance issues
